Empire Star Wars Ships : Imperial Star Destroyer

"I maintain that the effectiveness of the Star Destroyer stems from not only its massive firepower, but from its
size. When citizens look at a Star Destroyer and then compare it to the craft which might be mustered to attack it, they have a tendency to dismiss such a notion as suicidal rather than approach the problem tactically." ―Moff Wilhuff Tarkin

When assaulting planet Hoth, Darth Vader commanded the Executor and brought along a flotilla of Imperial-class vessels from Death Squadron to attack the planet. The Rebellion's heavy ion cannon, powered by the reactor of a Star Battlecruiser, easily overwhelmed individual Star Destroyer shields and rapidly disabled ships.

In the New Republic era, Imperial-class Star Destroyers continued to help larger vessels in operations like Operation Shadow Hand.

The Super Star Destroyer Allegiance led a task force of Imperial-class ships and World Devastators during the First Battle of Mon Calamari.
This was one of many fleets that struck out from the Core as part of the operation, which was plan at taking back most of the Galactic Empire's former territories.
Operation Shadow Hand saw a relatively heavy use of different types of Super Star Destroyers supported by Star Destroyers.

Empire Star Wars Ships : Imperial landing craft

Affiliation:
Empire

Type:
Troop transport shuttle

This ship was introduced before the Battle of Yavin and latter became the main troop transport in the Imperial Navy. The Sentinel was often used to transport troops between Star Destroyers/Cruisers/Star Dreadnoughts and planets.

This ship also made an excellent atmospheric transport and many Imperial garrisons had one of these vehicles. Several Sentinels were used on the desert world Tatooine, where they deployed sandtroopers and their dewback mounts in the mission to search for the missing Death Star plans.

During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebels also used a fleet of captured Sentinel landing craft as support ships. The Alliance logo instead was painted on their central wing, to help tell them apart from the Imperial ships. The New Republic also developed its own unique replacement for the Sentinel. The New Republic's Bantha-class assault shuttle featured much heavier armor than its Imperial counterpart.

Nantex-class territorial defence starfighter

When Count Dooku fled the engagement of the Clone Wars, a pair of Geonosian starfighters provided escort and covering fire.

Many of these starfighters were used during the opening stages of the Battle of Geonosis. A number of these craft, accompanied by Vulture droid starfighters, were sent to intercept the Acclamator I-class assault ship Aken, which was carrying thousands of clone troopers who were accompanying the Jedi Master Yoda's mission to rescue those Jedi fighting in the Petranaki arena in the wake of their attempt to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi , Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala.

As the battle wound down, a pair of these craft protected Count Dooku from the pursuing LAAT/i carrying Obi-Wan and Anakin, as he fled to his personal hangar ahead of the impending Confederacy rout. As the target of assassination by Delta Squad, the Geonosian lieutenant Sun Fac attempted to flee his homeworld aboard a Nantex fighter, but he was shot down by the clone commandos before he could get away.

―Anakin Skywalker

Weapon:

blaster cannons, energy torpedo launchers, buzz droid missile launcher

As the Clone Wars erupted, and the Trade Federation became founding members of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, they supplied their vulture droids to the growing Separatist fleet. Painted with the blue and white hexagonal sigils of the Confederacy, vulture droids would plague Jedi and clone pilots on many battlefronts, including the decisive Battle of Coruscant.

From the Expanded Universe

The Xi Char cathedral factories of Charros IV manufactured a vast number of precision-engineered droid starfighters for the Trade Federation. The development of advanced technologies is a religion to the Xi Charrians of the Haor Chall order, and the droid starfighter is testament to their devotion.

Though its Microaxial LpL computer worked hard to make the powerful vessel controllable, only the best pilots can take full advantage of the A-wing's velocity and weapons systems.
